Primary school dress code

In response to a request from the Prince's Government, a dress code has been introduced for pupils in all the Principality's state primary schools, from the Cours Préparatoire (CP) to the Cours Moyen (CM2). 

The dress code for all pupils in CP, CE1, CE2, CM1 and CM2 classes must include the following items:

• A white short-sleeved polo shirt
• A white long-sleeved polo shirt
• A navy blue long-sleeved, hoodless waistcoat with zip fastening
• On each item: the coat of arms with the name of the school and the words "PRINCIPATU DE MU̍NEGU".
• In addition to this dress code, a dark-coloured stocking is recommended.

Methods of acquiring items of clothing:

1. First possibility:

Fitting and collection of clothing items in the multi-purpose room at Saint-Charles school, 11, avenue Saint-Laurent, on presentation of the certificate of enrolment at the school, from Monday 19 August 2019 to Saturday 7 September 2019 inclusive, at the following times: Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm. Access to the hall is directly from the forecourt of Saint-Charles school.

2. Second possibility :

Free purchase of clothing items from the supplier of their choice, provided that the items in question bear no visible brand, inscription or logo and comply with the following conditions:

• Girls' short-sleeved polo shirt: 100% cotton or 60% cotton/40% polyester, white, 180 gsm fabric, round collar, 3-button placket, puffed sleeves, contrasting neckband, double-needle hem finish.
• Girls' long-sleeved polo shirt: 100% cotton or 60% cotton/40% polyester, white, 215 gsm fabric, round collar, 3-button placket, puffed sleeves, elastane-reinforced cuffs, contrasting neckband, double-needle hem finish.
• Boy's short-sleeved polo shirt: 100% cotton or 60% cotton/40% polyester, white, 180g/m² fabric, traditional collar, 3-button placket, ribbed collar, contrasting neckband, double-needle hem finish.
• Boy's long-sleeved polo shirt: 100% cotton or 60% cotton/40% polyester, white, 215 gsm fabric, traditional collar, 3-button placket, ribbed collar and cuffs, elastane-reinforced cuffs, contrasting neckband, double-needle hem finish.
• Long-sleeved waistcoat: 80% cotton / 20% polyester, navy blue, no hood, full zip, elastane-reinforced cuffs and ribbed cuffs, 2 topstitched pockets.
• The embroidered coat of arms approved by the Prince's Government must be applied to these items, in accordance with the provisions of the graphic charter.

Each item must be marked with the child's name.

The coat of arms:
Families wishing to purchase and affix the coat of arms to items they have purchased themselves will be able to do so at a cost of €5 each, including VAT.
Items can be dropped off in the multi-purpose room at Saint-Charles school during the sales periods, and then collected from the school.
Outside the sales periods, items can be dropped off at the school.
